Stanton DeFreitas and His Mission to Save the World

To understand Stanton DeFreitas, the first thing you need to know that he was born and raised in the highly diverse Scarborough section of Toronto, Ontario, where he allowed himself to be exposed to and even participate in as many cultures as possible. Stanton is convinced that his multicultural experiences early on set the tone for the balance of his life. Of course, that’s a good thing; he knows he benefited greatly from being raised in an environment in which he, a Canadian citizen of Caribbean heritage, has such great exposure to people from all over the world.

That level of diversity has had a very positive influence on his career as an international business consultant, but it has also led him to become a writer of some note. His writing reflects his view that everyone, regardless of where they come from, is a citizen of the world. He believes everyone in the world should try to broaden their horizons in every way. He doesn’t just mean broadening them in a business sense, but also spiritually, academically and culturally, as well. He thinks we’re all better when we work together and not as a series of cultural bubbles.
